General Consultation Services
Grasstops will get to know your organization in order to:
- Determine advocacy needs;
- Evaluate and develop resources;
- Determine and execute action plans for implementing public policy into the agency's services;
- Supply information regarding lobbying laws and limits;
- Provide strategic planning;
- Consult with your Board of Directors to plan for policy efforts.
 
Trainings
Grasstops offers a variety of trainings that can be geared towards staff, board members, volunteers and/or clients:
- Introduction to Advocacy;
- Implementing Advocacy Into Everyday Work With Nonprofits and Communities;
- Empowering Clients to Engage in Advocacy;
- Lobbying laws and limits.

Legislative Monitoring
Through our Policy Corps program, Grasstops will monitor legislative committee meetings on your behalf, providing your organization and stakeholders with pertinent information in a timely manner.

Advocacy
Grasstops will assist nonprofits in the following ways:
- Setting up and attending meetings with legislators;
- Tracking specific legislation or policies;
- Serving as a liaison between the client and policy or decision maker;
- Speaking on behalf of the organization, or assisting the organization to speak on its own behalf at legislative committees and/or meetings; and
- Reviewing voting records of current legislators and creating a "scorecard;" grading legislators on their performance in specific topic areas. 

Research
Grasstops can help organizations and coalitions explore:
- Best practices;
- Past and present policy;
- Legislation in other states;
- Policy implications;
- Linkages with other groups.
